In the final years of the Yuan Dynasty, the court was rife with fierce internal strife and corruption. Forced labor and taxes grew heavier, leaving the people in dire misery.

In 1344, amid natural and man-made disasters, the Yellow River flooded, and grief-stricken people filled the land. A folk song spread at the time: "A stone man with one eye will set the Yellow River in motion and plunge the land into revolt!"

In 1351, the court forcibly conscripted laborers to repair a breach in the Yellow River. While digging, they uncovered a one-eyed stone man, fulfilling the folk song's prophecy.

Han Shantong and Liu Futong then raised the banner of rebellion, and rebel armies sprang up everywhere like shoots after rain.

In this turbulent age, with the realm in chaos, heroes were bound to emerge. A brutal struggle for the land was about to begin!
