I Come from Asgard

Why has Wolverine, the perpetually foul-smelling, foot-scratching uncle, become S.H.I.E.L.D.'s prized darling? Why did Galactus, the most infamous glutton in the universe, meet his end among the stars? Who is the scheming young man in the Collector's cabinet of oddities? Why is Thanos even more fixated on the AllSpark than Ultron and Megatron? Why does Captain America's big pot lid keep disappearing? Why are the people of America always being driven from their homes? Where has the most basic trust between people gone? Is it a distortion of human nature, or a collapse of morality? And why, supposedly, does none of this have anything to do with the protagonist? (Comic-book worlds are full of pitfalls. The setting in this book takes precedence!)
