A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality: The Immortal Realm Arc

I read Mortals Cultivation a few years ago. It was very exciting and I was still very happy with it. Later I followed the sequel, but it was not finished at that time, so I stopped reading it. It was not until this time that I saw this book again. I still feel nostalgic. It's good!

I can't stand it anymore, all the details are unbearable to look at. It has become a cool article. In the spiritual world, it takes decades or hundreds of years to practice martial arts. It only takes a few months or a few years to reach the fairy world. The key is that this shortening is only reflected in the protagonist and the people around him. Others are still tens of thousands of years. I see that Meng Qianqian only spent more than 20 years from foundation building to the late stage of pill formation, and the protagonist must have spent more than 400 years. It only takes a few years to cultivate the supreme skill in the immortal world. It takes thousands of years for others to achieve an immortal aperture, but it only takes three years for the protagonist. Practicing magic has never been Han Li's strong point. Even if he has the Sky Palm Vase, he can't write it like this. This is a treasure left outside, and it won't be resolved if it takes too long. Another thing is to write about the power of law. This thing is inherently vague and must be written clearly. Since you can control the fairy world as long as you understand the power of the law, why do you need to practice skills? Why is the incarnation of Earth Prayer only found in the southwest sea? This kind of skill should be practiced by people who have no further plans to go further. There are very few people. There must be such people in the entire fairyland. Physical cultivation is all about physical cultivation, and it is necessary to build up the whole Xuanxian, the true ultimate membrane. These two cultivation systems are written very vaguely. The first thing that Han Li should do when he first arrives in the Immortal Realm is to find the Immortal Realm techniques to transform the Immortal Spiritual Power. This will take at least several decades. This will be explained after his ascension to the Spiritual Realm Chapter. Why did he first meditate on the Palm Heaven Vase and return to the Immortal Realm for the second time? He didn't even practice any of the techniques, but he was completely transformed within a year or two.

Wangyu's description of the fight is not very comfortable to watch and I'm not used to it.

He has been reborn all the way from the human world and has eaten so many natural and earthly treasures. Why is it that he still has low qualifications in the fairy world? Moreover, every time the protagonist is described as having an ordinary face and a dark face! Can't you help him become whiter?

The Immortal World chapter completely deviates from the essence of a mortal's journey to immortality. Like all rest novels, it creates a big villain and then lets the protagonist defeat it. Han Li completely deviates from the essence of the Human World chapter's pursuit of immortality. In the end, Han Li did not want to break through the way of heaven and pursue a higher level. He actually chose to live in pastoral seclusion. Is this the same Han Li we have been watching growing up? Han Li's advantage is his mental toughness in pursuing the great road. However, in the Immortal Realm chapter, I didn't see this advantage of Han Li at all, and I was quite disappointed.

We will meet again in the immortal world someday, and all the vicissitudes of life will be over with the word "fellow Taoist"

The plot of the Immortal World chapter is not progressing very well, copying the previous patterns and methods without any new ideas. The character of the male protagonist is also broken. He likes to show off and is arrogant. He is completely different from his previous calm and cautious character. In terms of emotions, he is both assertive, demanding and greedy, and he has to establish a specific character, which makes people wonder whether the author's real-life emotions are too suppressed and he relies on writing novels to indulge his lust. It's a lot of nonsense and the word count is serious.

I followed the mortal chapter, which can be said to be my second brush. The protagonist of the mortal chapter left a very good impression on me. He is not arrogant, cautious, and not afraid of hardships or difficulties. When it comes to the fairyland chapter, it is okay, but it is getting more and more wrong. I feel that the style of painting has changed, and the character of the protagonist has begun to make me dislike it. I also gave up halfway through the fairyland chapter before. This time I plan to endure the displeasure and read it. It is just a rough read. If it is suitable, I will stop at the mortal chapter.

In the Immortal World chapter, the protagonist Han Li's goal changes from pursuing immortality to solving the final BOSS. In addition, Han Li's character has also undergone significant changes, from the original ascetic to a character with more emotional scenes. The dungeon design of the Immortal World chapter was considered too boring, lacking the compactness and appeal of the first two chapters. In particular, dungeons such as Gray Realm, Scaled Sky Realm, and Wilderness have been criticized as boring and lacking in novelty and interest. Han Li's upgrade process in the Immortal World Chapter is too easy, especially after receiving the inheritance from Master Miluo. Han Li can quickly improve his cultivation level without downloading a dungeon or practicing. Han Li encountered many plots and setbacks in the Immortal World chapter, and even became a slave for a time. In addition, the emotional scenes between Han Li and Zi Ling, Nangong Wan and the master of the Samsara Palace were also criticized as bloody and redundant. There are many plots in the Immortal World chapter that have not been explained clearly in the previous chapters, such as the ending of Yin Yue and Dayan Shenjun. In addition, the combat power system collapsed, and the level-skipping challenges and combat power settings seemed unreasonable.

I finally gritted my teeth and finished reading this sequel to Mortals. The writing is really not good, far worse than Mortals. The plot is patchwork and the story is mechanical. The men leapfrogged and beat easily, but the women they met were only abused. I guess it has something to do with the loss of Yuanyang after the author got married, and the misfortune of being domestically abused by his wife. The author has exhausted his talent, similar to a famous writer who finished writing Thunderstorm when he was young and has no more good works in his life. A disappointing continuation of Mortal. I will no longer follow any of the author's works. Goodbye.
