The Great Sage, Equal to Heaven

Buddha said the Monkey King’s six roots were impure, so they stripped his skin, ground his bones, blinded his eyes, shattered his heart, stole his love, and extinguished his soul, then reborn him in hell. Was he the only one at the mercy of fate? But the Monkey King refused to accept his lot. One day, he would raise his Golden Cudgel against the gods in the heavens. This is not a chapter of Journey to the West. This is the story of Sun Wukong.
