War-Torn Chaos

His name was Song Zhe, and he was born in Hangzhou Prefecture. His family had been in business for generations and amassed considerable wealth. A little over a year ago, his father had him take the military examinations and earn an official rank, then spent several hundred taels of silver securing him a position as a company commander. But less than a year after Song Zhe took up the post, Yuan Shizhong, a bandit leader in Henan, gathered an army of two hundred thousand and captured several cities in succession. The empire was shaken, and the court flew into a rage. Governor Zhu Dadian was immediately ordered to lead troops from several prefectures to suppress the rebels. Song Zhe, too, was ordered to go and fight the bandits. A minor accident changed everything: a nobody who should have died on the battlefield miraculously survived. See how this little butterfly, whose fate has been rewritten, changes his own destiny!
