A Young Crosstalk Performer

After a period of decline, crosstalk was beginning to find its footing again in small theaters. In 2007, 23-year-old Gao Lou graduated from the crosstalk program at the Oriental Opera School. With humble beginnings and no connections, he embarked on a career in crosstalk solely out of his love for the art. Along the way, he received help from benefactors and faced exclusion from petty rivals. Through constant study and hard work, he eventually became a widely known crosstalk performer.
