In Search of Treasures Across the Land

Xiang Beihan was born into a family of antique and collectible appraisers. When he was young, his family was struck by a sudden disaster. Someone schemed to swindle away Xiang Bao Tang, the antique shop his family had run for five generations, and his father passed away.

His mother suffered a mental breakdown and remarried, taking his older sister with her. Xiang Beihan stayed with his grandfather, and the two relied on each other.

A life of hardship forged his proud, unyielding nature. Though still young, he mastered the essence of traditional Chinese medicine, including massage, bone-setting, and acupuncture.

He had little formal education, but was exceptionally bright, perceptive, diligent, and patient. He read the ten thousand ancient books kept in the family home so thoroughly that he knew them by heart.

Xiang Beihan was naturally fascinated by antiques and collectibles. With his innate gift of eyes as smooth as a mirror, able to embrace the vast heavens, and a memory that let him recite anything after one reading, he had an uncanny knack for spotting hidden treasures and making a fortune in the trade. He searches for rare treasures, distinguishes real from fake, solves mysteries, treats stubborn ailments, and avenges his family...

As he seeks to expose the mastermind and bring Xiang Bao Tang back into the Xiang family, a succession of strange, terrifying, infuriating, hateful, joyful, and tender tales unfolds, full of sudden twists, satisfying revenge, and turns no one could predict.

His ghostly eyes open and close, discerning every facet of life! Love and hate collide, bound by a lifetime of fate!
