From the Start, One Box; In the End, an Empire

Online novelist Zhu Chang'an is terminally ill and has nowhere left to turn when the unused fish tank at home transforms into a miniature landscape box, opening the door to an extraordinary journey. The box leads straight to the Ming dynasty during the Wanli Emperor's reign. Inside is a scholar who looks exactly like Zhu Chang'an, and the two find their fates bound together. From then on, they share one destiny, enduring hardship and enjoying prosperity side by side. Zhu Chang'an uses his godlike presence to help Zhu Renxia build a business, enter officialdom, and rise to prominence in the waning years of the Ming dynasty. In return, Zhu Renxia gives Zhu Chang'an antiques, paintings, calligraphy, and rare treasures. Together, they join hands across past and present to reach the pinnacle of life.
