I'm No Foolish Emperor

The 24-year-old Ji Dong is unexpectedly transmigrated after a deliberate murder attempt, and not only that, he becomes King You of Zhou...

Six hundred years ago, the Twelve Golden Immortals of the Chan Sect had failed to sever their Three Corpses after fifteen hundred years of cultivation. They fell into a calamity of mortal affairs, with killing and punishment at their heels. So Yuanshi Tianzun of the Chan Sect, Tongtian Jiaozhu of the Jie Sect, and Taishang Laojun of the Human Sect used the Investiture of the Gods to deceive the laws of Heaven and successfully survive the calamity.

Six hundred years later, the killing calamity descends once more. It coincides with the final years of the Western Zhou, when Guogong Gu presents the beautiful Baosi to the Son of Heaven.

The scene is strikingly similar to the final years of the Shang, during the reign of Emperor Xin. Yuanshi Tianzun, Tongtian Jiaozhu, and Taishang Laojun therefore conclude that this calamity is closely tied to the fate of the Western Zhou.

At this moment, Ji Dong, a 24-year-old young man from Earth, transmigrates and takes over the body of the Zhou king, Ji Gongnie.

The entire court is filled with treacherous ministers, especially Guogong Gu and Marquis Shen.

Unwilling to become a puppet, Ji Dong wants to break free of Guo and Shen's control and clear his name as a foolish tyrant.

Spiritual energy surges back. The five great states of Qi, Song, Jin, Qin, and Chu use the claim that the Son of Heaven is immoral and favors Baosi as an excuse to abandon the Zhou ancestral rites and reject the Zhou royal house as their sovereign.

They seize on the claim that the Son of Heaven's favor for Baosi caused Mount Qi to collapse and the Wei, Jing, and Luo rivers to dry up, using it to launch campaigns and annex other states...

Heaven's way resets, and the battle to become a sage begins!

Disciples of the Chan, Jie, and Human Sects descend into the mortal world and throw in their lot with the various states, helping their warlords carve up the land and overthrow the Great Zhou dynasty...
