She Wants to Be a Village Chief

An unexpected disaster, neither great nor small, struck, and Wang Xiangcao's family was slandered. There was no way to clear their name.

With no other choice, she had her husband secretly leave the village to find work in the city.

She thought that would put an end to the trouble, but instead they sank deeper and deeper into it.

Just when things were at their bleakest, a handsome young university student arrived in the village to teach. He brought a breath of fresh air, rekindling Wang Xiangcao's passion and giving her hope.

With his guidance and help, Wang Xiangcao gradually pulled herself together, and a new awareness began to take root.

She could not go on living like this!

She could not go on this way!

By then, most of the village men had gone to work in the city, and evil ran rampant in the village, enforcing its tyranny.

She stepped forward without hesitation. To protect the dignity and safety of the women left behind, she acted decisively, defeated the forces of evil, and gradually brought justice to the fore.

She stood up to male tyranny, bold and outspoken, daring to act and take responsibility.

With her intelligence and resourcefulness, she cleansed the village of its filth, restored its simple, honest customs, and led the women who remained behind to plant peach trees and medicinal herbs, setting them on the road to prosperity.
