The Noble Consort Climbs to Power in the Harem, While the Tutor Rises Through His Son

Yue Rongyin is the illegitimate daughter of the Grand Historian, born to a medicinal concubine. Though lowborn, she is stunningly beautiful. After her elder half-sister dies of illness, she finally enters the palace. But after years in the palace without conceiving, she cannot help thinking of the old rule that consorts without children must be buried with the emperor.

While bringing food to the Crown Prince, she catches sight of the world-famous Grand Tutor Pei. Beneath his jade belt, his waist is firm and strong. As the saying goes, men with strong waists have more children, more blessings.

Pei Yanli is a censor of the Censorate as well as the Crown Prince's Grand Tutor. He repeatedly rejects Consort Yue's advances, but who would have thought that he would only fall deeper and deeper? Yet her status as a palace consort is like an impassable chasm, keeping them far apart.

Until one day, Pei Yanli is accidentally poisoned with an aphrodisiac, and his heart clamors to see her. Yue Rongyin watches the refined Grand Tutor Pei stumble into her chambers late at night. He grips her waist and slowly shrugs off his robe. "Ayin, help me."
