Spring in the Han Palace

Spring dawn in the Han Palace, where flowers bloom in profusion; one backward glance, and a hundred charms come alive. A young man hummed softly, “I’ll walk you to the edge of the village. There’s something I have to tell you: ‘Don’t pick the wildflowers by the roadside.’ Ha! ‘If you don’t pick them, you’ll miss out. Pick some and bring them home!’” The valiant general fantasized, “Who am I? Where did I come from? I’ll wage war across the Nine Provinces and the Four Seas, and carve out a vast territory of my own.” The colorful young maiden’s eyes shone. “He came down from the heavens and fell right into my arms.” She dreamed, “I came down from the heavens. If I win his heart, I’ll conquer the world.” The young ladies in love cried out, “She came down from the heavens to threaten our love. She’ll use her wits and her charms to win his favor.” The old man roared, “I came down from the heavens to shatter the old world and build a new empire. Who among you understands my revolution?”
