At the foot of Laotieshan Mountain, villagers have relied on an electroplating factory for generations to make a living. In 2012, Laotieshan was designated as a national nature reserve. After repeated mobilization by superior departments and village cadres, and seeing the damage caused to the ecological environment by the electroplating factory over the years, Lin Zhiyong, who was preparing to take over from his father, had a head-to-head confrontation with his father Lin Weimin. In the end, he made up his mind and closed the electroplating factory directly, thus becoming the "prodigal son" among the whole village. He couldn't bear the fact that the workers his father led were laid off like this, including senior and junior workers. Taking advantage of the clarion call for rural revitalization and reform, he led everyone on the road to revitalization and development. However, after experiencing a series of setbacks, he also became unable to recover. When he was disheartened and re-examined the way he came, a group of Oriental white storks broke into his field of vision. He seized this favorable opportunity to protect these distinguished guests, registered the Stork trademark, and built eco-tourism and agricultural projects. Together with the villagers, he built the old Laotieshan Village into a livable, ecological, environmentally friendly, and green Stork Village in the new era.
