The Great Sheng Detective

The cold moon hangs low, and a demon wind suddenly rises! Demons and evil spirits roam, committing every manner of crime; the kind, wise, loyal, and honest suffer amid the chaos of war. In this age of great prosperity, ghosts walk abroad by night. Corpses are examined and cases solved, spears are wielded to drive out demons. Look up, and there are painted pleasure houses; look down, and fine horses draw splendid carriages. Gather the rare treasures of the four seas into a single tome; soothe the spirits of every corner of the world and send them all to rest in the Celestial River! Untangle the threads and uncover layer upon layer of mystery: a mad nun, a godslayer, a demon of passion... The root of all evil is nothing more than being trapped by love: resenting those one meets, grieving those one loses, and longing for what one cannot have...
