A Ghost Is Coming for the Movie Emperor, but a Five-Year-Old Wields a Sword to Chop Melons

Bad news: Gu Hanzhou, a former two-time Best Actor, has fallen completely out of favor and is going to a supernatural variety show with kids, where he might die.

Good news: He has a five-and-a-half-year-old biological daughter.

Even worse news: His daughter can't even do addition and subtraction within ten.

Everyone expects the father and daughter to be scared to tears in an old mansion, but things take a completely unexpected turn.

(The female ghost on the roof beam tries to claim their lives)

Chuyi pulls out a gleaming, thousand-year-old magical weapon and cleaves a giant watermelon in half.

The female ghost: Could you show a little respect for my profession?!

(The popular young actress releases an infant ghost)

Chuyi squeezes the evil spirit into the size of a walnut with her bare hands and stuffs it into an abandoned baby formula tin.

The actress: This isn't how the script goes!

(The thousand-year-old Ghost King unleashes his ultimate move)

Chuyi angrily flings out a Five Thunder Talisman and stomps on the Ghost King's head.

"You ruined my 1,888-yuan new dress! Pay up!"

The Ghost King: Have you no manners?

Everyone else risks their lives on the kids' variety show. Chuyi goes on it and hauls in so much loot her hands are full.

Later, the leading masters of the supernatural arts line up at her door to ask for guidance.

Gu Hanzhou bows helplessly. "Please, sirs, give us a break. My daughter is crying over her kindergarten arithmetic homework!"
