A Humid Summer Night

[Insatiable cravings + rugged man + small-town rental]

[Adult audio drama voice actress vs. rugged ex-soldier undertaker]

-

Wu Chuan is a veteran who moved to the southern city of Guancheng after leaving the military to work as an undertaker.

His life is simple. Every day, he drives his battered van around the crowded, bustling town to transport and collect corpses.

One day, his beautiful landlady suddenly returns from a long trip.

They live under the same roof, yet for half a month he never sees her, only hears her voice.

Late at night, when all is quiet, the beautiful landlady makes sounds that set his blood aflame.

Every sound carries through the wall between them.

Wu Chuan thinks his landlady is a damn tease.

Yu Shuang is sick. Her depression has left her with an insatiable need for physical contact.

The doctor says returning to a place where she feels safe might help her recover.

So Yu Shuang moves back to hot, humid Guancheng from cold, dry Mocheng.

But even after returning to Guancheng, her life is still the same three things:

voice acting, drinking, and sleeping.

Until one late night, she runs into her rugged tenant at the entrance to an alley.

His buzz cut is so prickly, his arms so strong...
