The Three-Year-Old Can Talk to Beasts, So We Feast on Meat Every Day on the Run

After three years of drought, the land lay barren for a thousand miles. On the road fleeing famine, people even traded their children for food.

On the Lu family's third day without food, the biased old matriarch blocked the road and demanded that the second branch abandon the three-year-old girl they had taken in, Sui Sui, calling her a "money-losing burden." She declared that with an extra mouth to feed, the whole family would die in the muddy marsh.

The couple of the second branch had once lost their own little daughter because the old woman refused to pay for medicine. This time, they completely snapped. They would rather leave with nothing and cut ties than let go of the child they were protecting!

No one could have guessed that the chubby little three-year-old, who chewed on her hand and tripped over her own feet, was actually the mountain god patriarch of Qingyang Mountain, freshly returned after surviving a heavenly tribulation!

Everyone was waiting to laugh at the second branch, expecting their lame father and meek mother to die in the wilderness with the foundling.

But then...

Sui Sui toddled over to the grass and squatted down. Wild rabbits lined up to dash into trees, geese fluttered straight into her arms, and a spring that had been dry for a century bubbled back to life. Deep in the mountains, even the ferocious blind black bear obediently lay down and brought her an old ginseng root covered in red berries!

As others fleeing the famine ate soil and tree bark until they vomited blood, and the whole village wore itself down with worry, the Lu family's second branch, guided by little Sui Sui, feasted on roast meat and rich fish stew at every meal. They went all out making money, never missed a meal, and only kept getting richer!

By the time the wicked, grasping relatives were as thin as kindling, crying and kneeling in the mud for a bowl of wild vegetable soup, the Lu family's second branch had already built ten thousand mu of fertile fields and a thousand fortified homesteads, their name renowned across the land.
