Let the Snow Bid Spring Farewell

[A street-stall girl × a cold, calculating high official] [The chase-back-to-win-her arc + status gap + a broken relationship that can't be mended + the powerful man bows his head + strong female lead] The stinky tofu Tao Bie Xue fries reeks for ten whole blocks. The neighbors have even given her a nickname: “Stinky Tofu Beauty.” But in these troubled times, she is tricked while fleeing for her life. Fortunately, the powerful official Fang Yanchun rescues her, and they gradually fall for each other. Once she regains her freedom, she makes a comeback, setting the streets ablaze with her success. In no time, she earns enough money to repay her debt of gratitude. Fang Yanchun starts out as a commoner and schemes his way up the ranks. He wants no money, only her. He tricks Tao Bie Xue into signing a contract selling herself, then sends her to the prince's mansion as a concubine. All to further his own ambitions. He teaches her how to show a woman's tenderness. He shows her how to act sweet and pitiful to win a man's favor. Tao Bie Xue's heart bleeds, but she does everything he tells her. When another man cherishes her as if she were precious, she wraps her arms around Fang Yanchun's neck and thanks him. “My great benefactor, thank you for helping me soar to the top.” Fang Yanchun's eyes turn bloodshot. “I regret it. Come back down.”
