Rule Horror: The Uncanny Beg Me to Stop Making Memes

The eerie world has invaded, and national fortunes are tied to dungeons. If a challenger clears a dungeon, their country's fortunes rise. If they fail, they fall. If they hit zero, the country is destroyed.

Daxia has lost six rounds in a row, and its national fortunes have dropped to 18%. The seventh challenger is selected.

Meng Zhi, a fresh graduate studying for the civil service exam.

Everyone thinks she's doomed.

But a voice suddenly rings out in her mind:

“This System recognizes any popular meme spoken by the challenger as a temporary regulation, then generates an official red-header document based on the real-world legal system to enforce it against any rule-breaking entities. Penalties: fines, imprisonment, or the death penalty.”

From then on, the eerie entities are in for a rough time.

An old woman with a cat's face rides a ghost-fire motorcycle right up in her face and launches a big move? Meng Zhi says, “There are countless roads, but safety comes first,” and an official document immediately confiscates the motorcycle, issues a fine, and deducts points.

Six thousand eerie entities chase her with broadswords? Meng Zhi yells, “If we're brothers, come and chop me!” The official document sentences them all to three years in solitary confinement for carrying weapons and fighting as a group, and they're all hauled off to jail.

A livestreaming company forces her to stream vulgar and violent content? Meng Zhi raises a hand and says, “The internet is no lawless land.” The official document revokes its license and fines it 7,000. The company goes bust on the spot.

The eerie entities handle the horror. Meng Zhi handles writing them tickets.

The former bare their fangs and claws. The latter pulls out an official red-header document: “Under Article 26 of the Eerie Entity Penalty Regulations, you are in violation.”
