A Chef Goes on a Dating Show, and the Nation’s Goddess Has a Crush on Me

Lin An died suddenly in a restaurant kitchen in his previous life. Reborn, he binds to a Proficiency System and wants nothing more than to stay with his family and enjoy a peaceful, leisurely life. But his lazy days don't last long. Under pressure from his whole family to get married, he is forced to join a dating reality show livestreamed across the internet. When the show finally goes live, viewers discover that this laid-back cook, always wearing an apron and riding a little electric scooter, isn't as ordinary as he seems. But what truly leaves everyone stunned is that Su Luoqing, the beloved national goddess everyone admires, looks Lin An in the eye and says earnestly: “I've been looking for you for eight years.” And just like that, the dating show's whole vibe changes. While everyone else hurries to complete challenges, Lin An is in the kitchen making food for the goddess. While everyone else tries to create romantic moments, Su Luoqing only wants to shop and cook with him. Online, people shout, “Kill Lin Dog, protect the goddess!” But then they turn around and vote the couple's one-day date ticket to the undisputed number one spot. Lin An had only planned to stick around for thirty days. But looking at the girl who had waited for him for eight years and was delighted just to have a bowl of hot porridge, he suddenly felt that this time, maybe he really should bring a girlfriend home.
