Keeper of the Jade Water Clock

Yang Suxian, a pipa player born an orphan, is exceptionally beautiful and fiercely strong-willed.

The Twelfth Young Lord, Li Suiqiong, is the son of a deposed crown prince. Skilled in both letters and arms, he has an extraordinary, refined appearance.

Suxian is a peerless pipa player, warm and kind to everyone, yet she hates young noblemen from Chang'an most of all.

The Twelfth Young Lord comes from Chang'an. He understands music but has exceptionally refined tastes, and ordinary string and bamboo instruments do not please his ear.

When the Twelfth Young Lord comes to hear Suxian play the pipa, she plucks at it carelessly. He only smiles without saying a word.

Later, Suxian hears from her sisters that he went to Xiangsha Bay that very day and died beneath the rebels’ blades.

Suxian spends the entire night awake. At dawn, she puts on her coat and goes to Xiangsha Bay to gather the Twelfth Young Lord’s remains.

But Suxian is not in despair, because she has a secret:

She has a strange hourglass. All she has to do is turn it upside down, and she can return to the past.
