Who Taught You to Be a Concubine Like That?

(Both leads are devoted to each other, with exclusive affection)

The young emperor ascended the throne at the age when others were only becoming crown princes. He goes to bed later than a dog and gets up earlier than a chicken.

Every morning court session feels like attending a funeral. He trudges back and forth along the same route, and before he knows it, his harem is packed to the rafters.

Gazing at all those unfamiliar, enthusiastic faces, he has a nightmare that very night. He even starts hallucinating, hearing a strange voice.

Young Emperor: ????

Who? Who’s a consort?

[Develop your consort, Shang Fuqu, to receive rewards.]

Young Emperor: What a joke. I rule over all under heaven. Why would I care about these little rewards...

Young Emperor: Listen up. Recite a cartload of blessings for good weather and peace throughout the land.

Before she enters the palace, Lady Shang takes her daughter’s hand and reminds her again and again: “Our family doesn’t expect you to make a name for yourself. Just stay safe.”

And so Shang Fuqu enters the palace, committed to keeping a low profile and staying as quiet as a chicken.

The palace servants bearing good news crowd the doorway: “A chess manual, brushes, ink, paper and inkstones, zithers, flutes, lutes... These are all gifts from His Majesty. Oh, and His Majesty also said that he wants to stay up late studying with Your Highness tonight and climb the mountain of books together.”

Shang Fuqu: ???!!!()?!

“My beloved consort, how can you sleep at your age!”

A stubborn, doting consort forced to study × a workaholic young emperor who pushes himself and everyone else to the limit

The emperor is utterly devoted to her. The harem is all for show and will be disbanded.

A sweet romance, set in an imaginary world with no concern for historical accuracy.
