The Fake Deposed Crown Prince

Chu Feng, an experienced traditional Chinese medicine practitioner from the modern era, transmigrates to the fictional Great Yong Dynasty. There he finds a hanged man who looks exactly like him, so he assumes the man's identity.

To his utter surprise, the identity he's stolen belongs to the deposed Crown Prince. The Emperor is gravely ill and wants the former Crown Prince's heart's blood as medicine. It seems there's no way out of this deadly predicament.

Fortunately, Chu Feng discovers that medicine in this era is very backward. He decides to use his medical expertise to cure the Emperor and escape his predicament.

Only after arriving in the capital does he realize that nothing is as he imagined. Not only does the former Crown Princess's snobbish family humiliate him, but he also can't earn the imperial physicians' trust and get permission to treat the Emperor. The Second Prince and others seize every opportunity to have him killed, while cracks in his assumed identity begin to raise suspicions.

He must dispel those suspicions, go with the flow, and defy fate to escape his predicament, surviving step by step under a false identity amid the undercurrents of court politics.
