Enough Pretending: The Good-for-Nothing Junior Sister Is the Real Big Shot

[Everyone’s favorite + heartwarming comedy + secret identity revealed, then a change of heart + takes it easy at first, rises to greatness later]

What’s a good-for-nothing snake princess to do when she can’t take human form, even after a hundred years in the spirit world?

Her snake parents put their heads together and promptly bundle her off to the Qingxiao Sect in the human world of immortal cultivation. From then on, the spirit world loses a snake princess who spends her days “robbing the rich to help the poor,” while Carefree Peak gains a snake junior sister. Just as Bai Xiaobai thinks her miserable life of cultivation is about to begin, it turns out

What? The disciples of the neighboring peak are mocking her low cultivation level again?

Bai Xiaobai flicks her tail. “Senior brother, someone’s picking on me!”

The eldest senior brother points his sword, and the second senior sister kicks the offender so hard they go tumbling away.

What? Spirit-Taming Peak is mocking her for relying on her senior brothers and sisters to throw her weight around?

The third senior brother brings the fourth and fifth senior brothers along. Three against a hundred, they beat up everyone from top to bottom at Spirit-Taming Peak, showing them what real bullying looks like.

What? Someone says she doesn’t deserve her master’s affection?

From then on, Carefree Peak has one more “Master’s Rule”: Never scold Xiaobai.

Everyone at the Qingxiao Sect knows that the junior sister at Carefree Peak is not to be provoked or touched. She must be pampered and indulged.

Bai Xiaobai also assumes, quite contentedly, that she can spend the rest of her life cultivating at an easy pace under the protection of her master and senior brothers and sisters.

Until one day, demonic energy fills the sky and the sect’s grand formation is breached.

Only then do they realize she is no “good-for-nothing.” She is an existence so terrifying that even Heaven and Earth fear her.

As the blood moon rises, Bai Xiaobai coils in front of her master, her slit pupils cold and fierce. “Whoever dares touch him dies!”
