Reborn in 1992: Starting With a Job at a State-Owned Enterprise

After getting drunk, protagonist Jiang Yunfan is reborn in 1992, just after graduating from technical secondary school. He follows the path he once took in his previous life, becoming the Shanghai business manager for a joint venture set up by a central government-owned enterprise and a Taiwanese-funded company. Drawing on his past experience and lessons, he achieves one impressive result after another through three years of relentless effort in a tough commercial battle, earning himself a promotion. By chance, he catches the eye of the group’s leadership, who bring him on as their secretary. After another three years of honing his skills, he is sent to lead a branch company mired in operational difficulties. He rallies the factory’s employees and, through effective measures such as restructuring the company, reorganizing the team, and expanding its business strategy, overcomes the triangular debt crisis and other problems that had threatened the company’s survival. He turns a business on the brink of bankruptcy into a major profit-maker and breathes new life into the branch. Later, after being selected through a merit-based process, he is appointed to the group’s leadership, opening up new horizons in his political career.
