First-Rank Magistrate

A modern criminal investigator's soul transmigrates into the body of an orphan in ancient times. He lies low at the bottom of society, enduring scorn until the day he finally draws his sword and shocks the world. Though he starts with nothing, his mastery of criminal investigation lets him crack bizarre cases and clear the names of the wrongly accused. He also steps into the dark world of officialdom, advancing cautiously and laying ruthless schemes amid plots and intrigue. He will be neither an upright official nor a good man. He will be the player who holds the truth in his hands. From a lowly country nobody, he fights his way to the pinnacle of power in the Great Yong dynasty. Anyone who stands in his way becomes a pawn. Anyone who frames him will pay the price!
