Strange Tales from the Afterlife Inn

There's an inn in Huai'an City whose owner, Meng Qianxun, is unbelievably lazy. Guests don't need to pay to stay there. All they have to do is tell a story at night.

Meng Qianxun is used to lying beneath the peach tree in the back courtyard, the one that never blooms. A crowd gathers around the bonfire, cooking a pot of thick soup as they share stories they've heard elsewhere: tales of ghosts and strange happenings, and the everyday affairs of the mortal world.

She prides herself on having seen through the world, but never imagined that one day she would fall in love.

Then one day, a guest with a red thread wrapped around his hand asks her, "Innkeeper, what's your story?"
