In the Investiture of the Gods: Rising from Obscurity, I Am the God of Wealth

Yang Xuan was reborn into the Primordial World as the innate spiritual treasure known as the Treasure-Gathering Basin. It took him tens of millions of years to take human form and embark on the path of cultivation.

But now, the Primordial World’s great calamity of the Investiture of the Gods was drawing near.

Clear-headed, Yang Xuan decided to join the Heavenly Court to ensure his own survival.

The Heavenly Court had only just been established and was in desperate need of personnel. If he could become one of its gods in the flesh before anyone else, he would have nothing to fear from the calamity!

So Yang Xuan applied his own Dao to establish markets among mortals, mint Fortune Coins, befriend Yu the Great, the Human Emperor, and earn the honored title of God of Wealth of the Human Race, bringing order to its people.

Then he ascended to the heavens, establishing the Four Divine Beasts, the Nine Offices, the Twenty-Eight Mansions, and the gods of the Ministry of Thunder, as well as the Heavenly Court’s laws, completing its structure.

He descended into the Nine Netherworlds, met with Houtu, and created the Underworld, the Eighteen Levels of Hell, the River of Oblivion, and the Bridge of Helplessness. He established the laws of the Underworld and became its Fengdu Great Emperor.

When the Investiture of the Gods began, Yang Xuan carried out his plans step by step, ultimately becoming the Central Grand Wonder, Order-Wielding Heavenly Venerable of Wealth!
