I Created a Legend of Chinese Games

“Mr. Qin Hao, back when VR technology was everywhere around the world, most domestic game companies chose to make money by producing card games built around various themes. At the time, the road to making Chinese AAA games seemed all but closed. Why did you choose to keep going?”

With cameras and microphones trained on him, a reporter put the question to him.

“Because I’m a gamer, someone who loves games. I know fast-paced, pay-to-win games can be incredibly satisfying, but just like their fast pace, that satisfaction comes and goes in a flash! A truly great game is one people can revisit in their memories again and again. It’s like the difference between a classic film and an ordinary one: one keeps returning to your thoughts, while the other is forgotten as soon as you’ve watched it.”

“Quite right... Quite right...”

“In short, the era of pay-to-win card games is over. Now it’s time for Chinese games to rise! We have AAA titles like Mr. **, The Grave Robbers' Chronicles, The Grave Robbers' Chronicles, and the Black Myth: Wukong series, and we’re working with all kinds of companies overseas. My company is also developing a new VR online game called Oasis! I believe Chinese games are destined to reach the very top!”

“I see...”

“That’s wonderful!”

“Mr. Qin Hao, who are you most grateful to for your success today?”

“The person I’m most grateful to... is definitely my boss. It all goes back to that resignation years ago.”
