League of Legends, S9 Season

LCK Summer Split

Faker: “Although we lost a few matches earlier, we'll win every match from here on out.”

Faker paused briefly, then continued: “I've seen off batch after batch of so-called prodigy mid laners, and I'm still here.”

“Maybe I'll retire after S10, because by then I should have won my fifth World Championship!”

Thunderous applause erupted in the arena, cheers and screams seeming ready to lift the roof. Because he was Faker, the greatest League of Legends player of all time!

UZI suddenly changed his Korean server ID to a Korean phrase meaning: The time left.

UZI: “Maybe after S9, I'll take a long vacation. A very, very long one...”

A hero in his twilight years, still unable to claim the trophy that should have been his. Beneath that dejected expression was such deep unwillingness to give up!

The Factory Director sat in the lounge, watching the match without blinking. EDG was gradually falling behind, and his right hand, resting on his thigh, slowly clenched without him realizing it. He made up his mind: even if he couldn't make Worlds this year, even if he couldn't play a single match, “There's still S10!”

Lin Yun sat in front of his computer, watching the final match of the 2019 Rift Rivals. In the last moment, DWG's Karthus flashed into the enemy fountain to massacre them, and the director deliberately zoomed in on the scene. Lin Yun narrowed his eyes. “That's going too far!”
