A Bull Demon King Fell from the Sky

A malevolent god’s corpse, bearing a bull’s head, falls into the land of mountains and seas. The Hundred Thousand Mountains are corrupted, becoming a world of the uncanny. After the survival of the fittest takes its toll, those who walk the earth are no longer ordinary humans. Night grows dangerous, and the mountains and forests turn eerie. On dangerous roads, only a “cow” can guarantee safe passage. And so, cows become all the rage. People burn incense and bow to the Bull God, build shrines to house cow spirits, and prize people with “cows.” When arranging a marriage, they don’t look at the groom or his home, only whether the cows in his pen are strong and healthy. Cows become the mounts of escort agencies, the steeds of cavalry, the emperor’s carriage, and tools used by powerful clans to control wealth and power. Su Qi transmigrates into a young cowherd from a family of night watchmen. He works hard at raising cattle, eventually breeds the mightiest bull, becomes head cowherd, marries eighteen lovely wives, and turns into the most famous “big shot” beneath Flaming Mountain. But then, one day, a monk from the Tang Empire in the Eastern Land arrives on a white horse, leading three disciples… “Hey! Bull Demon King, dare to fight me, Old Sun?” A golden cudgel crashes down from the sky!
