As a Veterinarian, It’s Perfectly Reasonable to Castrate a Panda

Li Sen didn’t want to live the grueling 996 work schedule, so he returned to his hometown to farm and start an eco-farm. He thought he’d enjoy a leisurely country life, but before the farm was even ready, a national treasure came knocking for help: an injured panda. The injury was right on its family jewels, too. Li Sen: “...” With the panda’s life at stake, he had no choice but to perform a neutering operation, becoming an expert at removing the goods for a day. From then on, Li Sen’s life became colorful in all sorts of ways. A pregnant red panda showed up and demanded that he take responsibility. Guided by his belief in helping wildlife, Li Sen delivered a litter of cubs. He also fulfilled the dream of every modern college graduate: landing a government job! Who would’ve thought the red panda was such a chatterbox? “Hey, moms, did you hear? There’s a two-legged guy down the mountain who’s great at looking after kids. He even provides room and board.” The news spread through the animal kingdom in no time. Li Sen could be making pig feed and attract a giant panda with cubs, sneaking in for a bite. Then it would insist he take responsibility for childcare and refuse to leave the farm. A South China tiger came down from the mountains just to recuperate after giving birth. An elephant mom trekked thousands of miles, hoping to dump her mischievous kid on Li Sen. Even the bald eagles in America had heard about him. One flew all the way across the Pacific just to ask him to build a nest. Panda cubs, red pandas, golden-shaded tigers, silver-shaded cats, yipping foxes... More and more little ones appeared on the farm, and Li Sen realized something was off. He just wanted to run an eco-farm, not an animal daycare.
