Chinese Boy: Starting by Taking Monk Sanzang as My Master

Lin Xuan transmigrates in a single day into the world of The Legend of the Chinese Boy.

From the start, he takes Abbot Sanzang as his master and becomes a lay disciple of Shaolin.

With the aid of the Cauldron of Creation, he gains heaven-defying comprehension and makes astonishingly rapid progress in cultivation.

From then on, no treasure escapes his grasp, and every opportunity falls into his hands.

From the Kasaya Demon-Subduing Art, the Shadow-Stealing Divine Art, and the Book of Power, to the Heavenly Book of Yuan Gong and the Pure Yang Immortal Art...

Along the way,

he encounters a snowfield demon whose power can make willow catkins fall like snow in midsummer;

he also sees the Demon of a Thousand Faces beguile minds and toy with all living beings, while the Fire Ghost rampages in a frenzied fury.

He sees Xing Tian dance with his shield and battle-axe, his fierce spirit undying;

he visits an underwater kingdom, and sits with the Sleeping Lord and Sleeping Lady on a sacred mountain, discussing the Dao...

And, of course, Lin Xuan personally brings about the end of the Black Fox King, who has wreaked havoc across the world and survived for a thousand years!

P.S. This book is mainly based on The Legend of the Chinese Boy, blended with folk tales of the strange, Liaozhai-style immortal fantasy, assorted weird tales, and more to create an alternate world. If that's not your thing, don't read it.
