Strange Tales from the Countryside

Le Yi is the veterinarian in Lejia Town. After she took pity on a shaggy wild man and a snake and saved them, she gained the ability to see spirits. Le Yi could now communicate with mountain spirits, and learned that the world was full of “miracles” unknown to ordinary people: wild men, widows carrying monstrous babies, talking stones... So she began recording them: a collection of all the strange, supernatural things she had encountered in villages and the countryside over the years.
