The Spendthrift

A young man inherits the world's greatest fortune. A merchant who refuses to play by the usual rules. A spendthrift who turns the world of business upside down.

He has an ordinary name, but carries his parents' blessings. His name is Xiao Tianci. Raised by his mother, he grew up strong and brave. Before the age of thirty, he had already amassed tens of millions. One day, he learned who his father was and discovered his family. He also inherited the world's greatest fortune, along with the world's greatest troubles. He knew he had fallen into a fog, and wondered what lay behind the deaths of hundreds of his family members.

To uncover the truth behind the fog, he embarked on a series of crazy ventures: losing money until it turned into an acquisition, building a villa resort in the desert, making moon mining an employee benefit, buying two aircraft carriers at once, sinking one of them, and building two companies at once so one could run the other into the ground... He used unconventional methods to turn failure into victory and destruction into renewal, creating a business model that turned conventional wisdom on its head.

He liked making people think he was easy to fool. He liked being called a spendthrift. He wanted to explore prehistoric ruins, and each of his ventures grew more outrageous than the last. Behind his arrogance, was it all for family, for love, or simply to survive? Every thrilling moment awaits in The Spendthrift.

I've started a new book. Everyone kept asking what genre it was, and I was at a loss for words. Nothing on Qidian seemed quite right. In the end, I blurted out, my face red, "A spendthrift story." But one of my buddies said we could call it "anti-business fiction." Just imagine what it would be like to turn business on its head...
