The Empress in Her Golden Years

Smack, smack, smack... Ten slaps in a row. The first time she wakes up, she beats his Consort Shu until her face is swollen like a pig's.

Smack, smack... Hah! The second time, she knocks his Noble Consort to the ground with two slaps and a kick.

Heh! Hah! The third time, she kicks his Consort De and Consort Xian into the lotus pond, one after the other.

As for the fourth, fifth, and sixth times...

She was the first heir to the illustrious Fengyang International hotel chain and an internationally renowned supermodel, yet a giant crystal chandelier fell from the sky and sent her here.

In the blink of an eye, she became the legitimate eldest daughter of the Grand Tutor, the empress, and the mother of the current emperor's only two children.

But she was also

A worn-out woman left alone in her chambers for more than three years, two years older than the emperor himself.

Living in the Cold Palace? Left alone in an empty room?

No problem!!!

She simply ignores the emperor and joins forces with the Sixth Prince.

Using the Cold Palace as her base, she spends her days traveling between the imperial palace and the capital, opening dance halls, making money, bullying men and women, cuddling women and teasing children, and living the high life.

And, as a bonus,

She takes in a young and handsome prince from a neighboring kingdom as her assistant. What a carefree life!

Wait!

A consort comes to pick a fight? Are you deaf? I already told you I have no interest in sharing a man with you, so why won't you leave me alone? Have two slaps!

A man tries to flirt with me? Are you blind? I'm old enough to be your mother, and you still think you can flirt with me? One punch sends you flying!

The emperor comes to hold me accountable? Are you brainless? You're the one who sent me to the Cold Palace, so what do you mean by climbing into my bed now? One kick sends you flying!

In her dictionary, if a problem can be solved with force, she absolutely won't waste words on it!

You want to know why she's so violent?

Damn, don't you know I'm getting old? This is menopause! There's no cure!

Highlights:

First,

Your Majesty, where are you going now?

I'm bored. I'm going to see my son!

Your Majesty, you can't! If the emperor finds out you've snuck out of the Cold Palace again, he'll surely... surely...

Extend my stay in the Cold Palace, right? No problem. He can extend it all he wants!

Your Majesty! By now, your time reflecting in the Cold Palace has already been extended to a hundred years from now. If he adds more, are you planning to spend your next life here too?

Second,

Guards! Consort Shu has shown disrespect to the empress. Send her to the Cold Palace!

Wait!

Your Majesty, what is it?

If you send her to the Cold Palace, where am I supposed to live? I don't share a room with anyone.

Go back to your original palace.

No way! I'm perfectly happy living in the Cold Palace. Why should I move?

Third,

You wretch! You actually want to take my crown prince and princess out of the palace?

What's wrong with that? They're my children. Of course they should come with me. Anyway, you have plenty of women. Grab a few and they'll give you a whole bunch more. Just let me have these two.

Not a chance! The imperial bloodline must never leave the palace!

Damn you, you stone-faced bastard! Are you giving them to me or not? You're not? Then I'll knock you down and carry them off with my head held high anyway!
