Chen Cheng transmigrated back to the 19th-century Qajar dynasty and became Naser al-Din, the governor of Azerbaijan. At the time, Persia was beset by troubles at home and abroad, and was already headed toward the same fate as the Ottoman Empire. Since he was there, he would make the best of it. As the Ottomans rise and Byzantium nears its fall, while the Russian Empire has yet to emerge, who will become the guardian of the Eastern Orthodox faith and lead Eastern Europe to rise again, keeping the glory of the Roman Empire alive?
