A good book ruined by the title and the first chapter. The writing is excellent, the characters are superb, the plot is excellent, and the pace is slow, but it is by no means draggy. The text contains an analysis of society and human nature. If you want to read a refreshing article, please avoid it. If you failed high school Chinese, please avoid it.
