How to Raise an Alien

After three years of fighting alien creatures, May is seeing a humanoid one for the first time.

What's more, this one is gentle, harmless, and unfailingly polite, practically a sunny little puppy.

But wait, you say he's a “royal” species? And there are “heirs” eyeing the throne, too?

As a lowly private, May is feeling the pressure.

Hey, is it really a good idea to leave her in charge of raising the future ruler of the stars?

The author, with a serious expression: This is a serious space-war story., Really? Swear? You're sure this isn't a cute pet-raising story?
