A Flourishing Age of Painting

Zheng Danqing was only thirteen when he began learning to copy paintings.

He was exceptionally talented, yet cursed with bad luck. At just twenty-four, he met a gruesome death.

When he opened his eyes again, he had returned to the era when Wu Zetian held power. With no status to speak of, he had become a mere male favorite.

The land is a painted scroll, its splendor captured by Danqing’s brush.

Beauty is a poem, its passion painted through nights of lovemaking.
