Shanzi, Shitou, and Tianmao are three children who grew up in rural areas. In that environment of poverty, lack of knowledge, and extreme isolation, their lives seemed to be barely surviving. In their childhood, they had simple happiness, youthful affection, worldly cold eyes, and the miserable situation of bereavement. In their teenage years, they had inexplicable impulses, cynicism, confusion in life, and helplessness in the world. Later, educated youth came to the village. Under the influence of the educated youth, their thinking changed. The three finally decided to go to the city to make a living. Different characters, different thoughts and emotions, face different living environments and different aspects of the world. When the country meets the city, what kind of experience will they have? How will they choose when faced with money, temptation, ethics, morality, friendship, and human nature?
