The Eunuch Who Was Castrated

He visits the ruins of Emperor Yang of Sui’s maze palace, only to find himself back in the final years of the Sui dynasty. His new identity? A eunuch awaiting castration... A “made” eunuch, with “made” in quotation marks! The Lanling Guards and the Blood Cavalry, weighing the world in the body of a man. War clouds rise on every side, and chaos spreads across the land, yet I alone roam free. I rest my head on a beauty’s lap, compose poems to my heart’s content, and settle the fate of the realm with a laugh. I watch the eighteen rebel kings with a smile and look down proudly upon the eight barbarian peoples and the nine regions. With a turn of my hand, I can destroy an empire or raise one up. Luo Shixin, Lai Huer, full of youthful ambition! The twenty-four meritorious officials of the Lingxiao Pavilion, Changsun Wuji, Yuchi Gong, Qin Qiong... youth unforgotten! Empress Changsun, her heart devoted to her lord! Three lifetimes of love! The name bestowed upon me: Wu Zetian. Little Ying is all smiles; Lady Hou, Princess Pingyang, Empress Xiao; Li Shimin, Li Mi, Yuwen Huaji... My blood-soaked steed drinks from the river. With three thousand armored soldiers, I come and go as I please. I am Prince Ling! This is my Great Sui, my era!
