After Du Xiaoyu became part of a farming family, she discovered that being a little peasant girl was not easy at all... With too little land, she had to buy more fields; with no meat to eat, she had to find new sources of income; unable to afford medical care, she had to study medicine herself. Besides growing rice, she also had to find suitable cash crops. In short, relying entirely on the weather for food was absolutely unreliable!
