Star Gate

The gods in the heavens say the starry sky is their bedchamber.

The kings on earth say the land is humanity’s paradise.

So for thousands of years, people have lived, multiplied, prayed, and died upon this land, like prisoners.

Now and then, a mad soul would try to lay claim to the true starry sky.

But the gods would never allow it.

They sent down punishment, turning every mad soul into flames.

Then they raised a barrier so no one could ever reach the stars.

Time passed, and another ten thousand years went by. The barrier remained unbreakable,

until a girl whose eyes held a hundred billion stars came to this world.
