The novel Seven Realms of Immortal Fantasy is set in a world more than ten years in the future. The everyday life depicted in the story isn't particularly science-fictional, and the level of technology and culture in the world of Seven Realms of Immortal Fantasy has advanced only a little beyond our own, without any huge leaps.
