The Hall of Heaven

Give this book an hour of your time, and it will draw you in completely. Who says angels are passé? This fresh take on angels in the city blends the breezy feel of a light novel with the weight of reality, making you laugh, reflect, and finally cheer with satisfaction. At the very least, it’s a book you can read without worry: the protagonist is lustful and bold, but he doesn’t chase after every woman he sees; he has a protagonist’s aura, but the supporting cast aren’t idiots; and he knows how to hold a grudge. If a girl bullies him, he’ll pay her back tenfold! Xiao Yang’s principles: 1. No giving away the heroine. 2. No plotlines like the one with Yang Guo and Xiaolongnu in The Return of the Condor Heroes. 3. No brothers turning against each other.

The world is full of injustice. The Heavenly Court selects people with potential and makes them angels, tasked with punishing evil and rewarding good.

Novice angels can awaken the heroic skills they had as children: “Eagle eyes! Wolf ears! Leopard speed! Bear strength!”
