When the Old Tree Blossoms

I always thought I was old, and liked to throw my weight around because of it.

Little did I know that once I reached the heavens,

I’d be as fresh and green as a scallion.

All I did was play a bit part when he reincarnated, and now I have to give up my easy life in heaven, where I eat and drink for free, and descend to the mortal realm to guide him. What a rotten twist of fate.

Whether my feelings are sincere or false, as long as he can return to the heavenly palace safely, I’ll have done my duty and can go back to my carefree life.

What? You say I can’t leave?

You stirred the spring waters. What makes you think you can just walk away?

Leave me alone.
