The Three Kingdoms were drawing to a close, and the Wei and Jin were in their prime. The celebrated men embodied the integrity and noble character unique to that age. A celebrated man could be a scholar, a general, or even a common outlaw. A celebrated man could write poetry with his brush like a sword, sing wildly through his tears, live with integrity, or care deeply for the world. A celebrated man is one of the most complex kinds of people, and one of the most steadfast. A celebrated man can be a man, but there is no reason one cannot be a woman. A celebrated man is simply someone who has convictions and the courage to hold fast to them in an age gilded with luxury yet shadowed by storms. A celebrated man is still only human. Heroes are not defined by their origins, and neither are celebrated men. Zhu Haoyu: Even if I stand alone, displaced a thousand years out of time, even if I change from a strapping seven-foot man into a frail young woman, I will still dare to tread upon the land and stand beneath the sky!
