Soul Refining

Lin Kai is a gifted apprentice mage, but he is not content to learn only from the great mage Dillon Bone Staff. Once sold as a slave, he longs for power, so he takes a desperate risk and attempts to summon a being from the Abyss. Lin Kai hopes this will make him stronger, and in fact, it does. But the hidden danger he unleashes gradually draws him into chaos. Fortunately, many people stand by his side, sharing both triumphs and hardships. Among them are Lilith, a divine-demonic hybrid; Monica, a half-elf; and Judy, neither human nor god. Each has her own reasons, yet all share the same longing.
