Eerie Descent: Escape, Starting as a Fish

When recent graduate Jiang Jin was dragged underwater, the only living thing beside him was the little fish he had raised for three months.

[Establish a contract?]

He had no choice.

The contract was formed. The little fish changed, and at last he drew the breath that should have been his last.

The dead in the cemetery pushed open their coffins. Lights came on in an abandoned hospital. A funeral procession that had vanished long ago took to the streets once more. The world of ghosts gradually overlapped with reality, and the familiar human world became the dead's road home.

Some awakened sequences and wielded swords to slay the strange. Others glimpsed fate and searched for a way to survive. Jiang Jin never awakened, and could only flee toward Shu with a flying little fish and the companions he met along the way.

Until, trapped in another desperate situation, he fixed his gaze on the still-pulsing flesh on a strange creature.

Others could borrow the power of the strange to survive.

Why couldn't he?

From the moment he swallowed his first strange creature, his stomach, lungs, eyes, and heart gradually gained terrifying abilities.

And that little fish he had once bought for five yuan grew from the size of his palm into a colossal beast carrying streets, fields, and the lights of countless homes on its back.

At first, Jiang Jin only wanted to go home.

Later, countless people who had lost their homes climbed onto the fish's back and entrusted their last hope to him.

Ahead, the tide of strange creatures blotted out the sky, and the road home was cut off.

He patted Xiaoman on the back.

"Grow a little bigger."

"There are quite a few people to take with us this time."
